My 3 beautiful kids, pictures a little old, but one of my favourites.

 

Mr Vanish is his name (the one with the green top, spikey hair & gorgeous smile), that's what we used to call him. My middle son, he was the king of disapearinging, no matter what we did, he managed to make a break for it, and beleive me we did everything bar tie him to me with a rope. He wasn't a naughty child, just what I would like to call spirited. inquisitive, adventurous and most of the time absent minded.

He was my inspiration for Tat Your Tot, the absolute terror he caused me when he would wander of for even just a second was the worst experiences of my life (my mum would like to think of it as Karma for all the yrs of worry all her kids caused her). I had to find a way to have all my details on him, something he wouldn't take off, something he wanted to keep on!!!

Now all us Aussie mums know what it's like when we get to the yoghurt section & the kids are begging for the brand with the temporary tattoos inside. Well that was my weekly shopping negotiation area....the Youghurt aisle....

Lite bulb moment ( for the Oprah watchers ) Temporary tattoo's with their details, my kids never wanted to take their temporary tattoo's off... Lot's of research and trial and error...Friends kids being the guinea pigs ( not that they minded ) and a lot of learning, lots & lots...We came up with our Identitats - or Kids personalised Identification Temporary tattoos, thought Identitat was a little easier..LOL. 

Mr Vanish has since outgrown his disapearing days, and the youngest has now filled his shoes..I have to say he has nothing on Mr Vanish, but you won't hear me complaining about that...and funnily enough he is currently my easiest child (touch wood).

So for all those parents out there that have a runner, we understand!!!! That doesn't make us bad parents, it just means that our children are extremelly talented at hiding.
